Dials for Apple Watch
Recovery, Strain and Sleep on your Apple Watch face
Dials shows your WHOOP data as complications next to the time. On Modular Ultra, Wayfinder and Modular Duo. Free, no account, no ads.
Needs a WHOOP membership, an Apple Watch with watchOS 26 and an iPhone with iOS 26.
Next to the time
Recovery, Strain and Sleep sit where you look anyway. No phone, no app to open.
Today vs. prior 30 days
A dot shows where today’s HRV and resting heart rate sit in your own range.
Left end: your lowest value of the prior 30 days. Right end: your highest.
Last night, before you get up
Hours vs. needed and your sleep stages on the face, before you reach for your phone.
Modular Ultra
Built for Modular Ultra
- Overview in the middle.
- HRV, resting heart rate and steps below.
The app shows you where each one goes.
Wayfinder
Full color, tinted, Night Mode
Ultra faces often tint complications, and Night Mode turns the whole face red. Dials puts the meaning in the number and the length of the arc, so you can read it in every mode.

How it works
Install Dials on your iPhone and your Apple Watch.
Sign in to WHOOP once on your iPhone.
Add the complications to your face. The app shows you where each one goes.
Your watch then loads new numbers by itself, about every 30 minutes.
Your data
Your numbers go from WHOOP straight to your Apple Watch. No server of ours stores them. Only the sign-in passes through a small server that keeps nothing.
- No account.
- No ads.
- No tracking.
Dials only reads, nothing changes in your WHOOP account. Disconnect anytime in Settings, and Dials deletes everything on your iPhone and watch. Privacy policy
Questions
Do I need a WHOOP membership?
Yes. Dials reads your data from WHOOP. Without a membership and a WHOOP wearable there is nothing to show.
Which Apple Watch do I need?
Any Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later. Modular Ultra and Wayfinder are on Apple Watch Ultra. Modular Duo, Infograph and the Smart Stack work on other models too.
How fresh are the numbers?
Dials shows what WHOOP already has. Your watch loads new numbers about every 30 minutes; watchOS decides the exact moment. Recovery and Sleep appear once WHOOP has scored your night. If something looks old, open the WHOOP app on your iPhone so your WHOOP can sync, then open Dials on your watch.
What does it cost?
Nothing. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription.
Is Dials made by WHOOP?
No. Dials is an independent app by Sergej Markwart. It uses the WHOOP API and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WHOOP.
